Journal of Scottish Yarns

We're delighted to stock this wonderful, local publication. A bi-annual journal, there are currently eight issues available, and each is packed to the brim articles, patterns and stunning photography; all focussing on community, history, culture and creativity of textiles in Scotland.

"Journal of Scottish Yarns was created in 2021 to share the stories of Scottish textiles, and to celebrate the heritage, people and places that I care about so much. Scotland has a long and celebrated history of textile making and design: Harris Tweed, Fair Isle knitting, Shetland wool, tartan, kilts, tweed, linen, flax, Angora, cashmere and sheep have all played their part in our story, along with the mills, looms and artisans who have crafted our unique and recognisable textures." - Susan Anderson, creator & founder of Journal of Scottish Yarns.
