Tangled 2026 Shawl kit

We are delighted to be returning to Tangled Yarn Festival this year, and to celebrate, we've produced a beautiful kit for the official Tangled 2026 shawl pattern.

Designed by Samira Hill of Eildon Hills Designs and taking its inspiration from the annual Festival Theme, the 2026 Tangled Festival Pattern features playful and stylish colourwork, made with fun and easy to knit slip stitches, using only one colour per row when knitting!

The shawl is knitted from the top down in a triangular crescent shape, ideal for wrapping around the neck and shoulders, and made using 4-ply / sock yarn it has plenty of drape to wear with style and show off the colours! The shawl can also be made to any size, and cast off at any point. 

The shawl is an easy knit, using only two slip stitch patterns with short repeats used throughout: one for the "wings", and one for the central panel; simple regular increases are worked to shape the shawl, finished with a Garter Stitch band. The playful colourwork effects are achieved by simply switching the sequence of colours.

About the Kit:

• Contains x3 100g skeins, in Purple, Lime Green and Dragonfruit Pink
• Each skein is 100g/ 400m, 50% Superwash Merino 50% Silk (4ply)
